I am an enthausiast, openminded, perceptive, hard working artist in recident. The different Artists in Residency's broadened my horizons and changed and refreshed my visual outcome. I hope to return to the places I visited and find more. My favorite places are set in nature with the cultural world on a few hours distance.

A special time to focus on time and history in the landscape of ancient Alentejo, where the historic time is present ins standing stones and corkoak plantations, and the activity of marble mining is present in quarry industrial landscapes

Four weeks at the countryside of Gran Canaria in barranco GuiniGuada . Studying the visuals of local plants, structures of the landscape and histiry of the island. Close to the Botanical Garden Jardin Canario, Jardin del Merquessa and the sea and mountains.

Three weeks at Thassos island in Water and Rock Residency. Inspiration: The white rocks at the river gorge , the great rocky beehive on the top of the mountain, the green landscape with marks of the woodfire, the turkois sea and white marble rocks.

Vision in English: I am a mid career artist and painting or drawing as long as I can remember.

When I was 23 I felt the urge to look for a place more nordic than Norway, to Iceland.
I wanted to take time to find myselve unbound from friends and family, alone with the creative powers of nature.
It freed me from the pressure of art academy and creating art, because the nature in Iceland is its own art.
And yet it emerged a tremendous creative power that I can still feel today.

Nature phenomena as mountains, water, trees, light , wind plants and clouds tell me about connections that rise far beyond my beeing.
As a urban citizen re-finding myself in collision with natural elements, I like to submerge, by making treks, camping in nature,
struggle with and preferably work directly from nature.
I am searching for abstract means in natural environment, a balance between personal expression and visual impact.
Working outside my usual studio, often abroad, in collaboration with other artist in residency's has been
an inmense source of inspiration and a base for contemplation, process and production the last 5 years.

Visie Nederlands :Binnen de context van het landschap zoek ik naar cyclische processen die de elementen veranderen: lichtval, seizoenen, groei, overwoekering, vergaan en wederopbouw, erosie. Ik wil het vangen in kleur, structuren, vorm en beweging.
Ik werk graag buiten in direct contact met mijn omgeving, open voor het mysterieuze van het moment. De laatste jaren zijn artist in residences een enorme bron van inspiratie geweest: in samenwerking en ontmoeting met andere kunstenaars, op zoek naar contemplatie en concentratie, een continuiteit in het onderzoek en het proces van het maken binnen een nieuwe inspirerende omgeving.
