The experience of surroundings and richness of natural environments, ever changing is my primary motive. Calming but unsettling as well, it reflect our inner emotions. The ancient and the temporary changes, between mineral and climate, keep us focussed and make it possible to ever explore. I like to shift between the large surroundings and the minimalistic, even microscopic focus on the environment. Making as little impact as possible, I see nature and environment as a responsive space in witch we are communicating through our actions.
My wishes
I like to be the eye , but also like to add something temporary that can dissolve in time.
Wider Scope
Iceland changed the way I look and experience foreever. Being so close , and even witness, creation of the earth we live on, is possible at a place like this. And yet there is more than nature, we can live here. It changed my work to see landscapes so close to abstractiion, for ever cvhanging by weather and climate, and vulcanic activity from the earth herselve. It is our origin that I found here, where we drift away from since we settled down and start to see nature as a threat. The Icelandic landscape is as diverse as possible and bare, rugged and mirrors all emotions. It mirrors also our actions, and the urgent need to grow towarths sustainability in a life with, and not against nature.
In short
To focus on the splendor, to live for our environment, and same time see what the eath itselve can teach us, often in the smallest details is my main study.
